FULBRIGHT SPECIALIST TO HELP FCCU ON PATH TO U.S. ACCREDITATION

Forman Christian College is leading the way as the first university in Pakistan to apply for accreditation through a United States regional accrediting agency. They are working with NECHE, the New England Commission of Higher Education, and are hosting a first site visit by the agency this November (2019). If NECHE believes FCCU is ready to enter an application, the process to apply for accreditation begins. Acceptance by NECHE will make transfers and admission into U.S. graduate schools a much easier process for Forman graduates because of the standards imparted by accreditation. If you are interested in reading more about what institutions abroad must do to gain membership in NECHE, visit: https://www.neche.org/becoming-accredited/for-institutions-abroad/

As FCCU prepares for the NECHE visit, they are grateful to have help from Gordon College’s Provost Dr. Janel Curry. A recipient of a prestigious Fulbright Specialist Award, she will travel from Wenham, Massachusetts to Lahore, Pakistan this October to serve as an expert consultant for six weeks as FCCU negotiates the accreditation path. Dr. Curry will also be working with Forman’s academic leaders to investigate the possible creation of a Leadership Center at Forman. To read more about Dr. Curry, click https://www.gordon.edu/provost
